SWEDENS LEADING PATIENT ASSESSMENT SYSTEM
PATIENT SUPPORT ASSESSMENT METHOD AND SYSTEM
We currently offer a web based care-center support measurement program for conducting assessment, report and analysis along-side consultation assistance all according to WHOs International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF)
i-Balans support measurement method is developed by Occupational Therapist Monica Ring who has 30 years of experience in elderly care, method development and working with ICF.

"My mission is to help health and social care activities to focus on the core business – to put the individual's needs at the centre when resources are to be allocated."
BUILT ACCORDING TO ICF
Created according to ICF (International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health). The development of the method started 2007. In 2008 the method started to be used by care-centers in Sweden. Over the years several checks on reliability, efficiency and accuracy have been conducted.
VALIDITY
i-Balans has been used in parallel with other support needs measurement instruments, with reliability and accuracy checked using timed measurement.
RELIABILITY
In order to optimize inter-reliability in the measurement, manuals have been developed to facilitate the level assessments.
